ancient Egypt, 18th dynasty. Akhesa, a charming 14 year old princess, is far from imagining that she will one day rule Egypt. She is a rather impetuous young person and who rebels against her father, pharao Akhenaton. She refuses to stay confined to the safe enclosure of the royal palace and wants to discover why her mother, queen Nefertiti, has exiled herself on the island of Elephantine. With the assistance of prince Thout, Akhesa flees in the hope o finding her mother. In contempt of all possible danger, the two teenagers travel along the banks of the Nile, over the extreme dunes of the desert and face the mercenaries and the priests who plot to get rid of the Pharao.
