Babylon Park: Frightspace
USA, 1999

Patricia Tallman, Neely Stewart, Wayne Alexander
Directed by Christopher Russo

Babylon Park is a spoof of South Park and the sci-fi series Babylon 5 that debuted on the internet in 1998, created by Christopher Russo. It presents the Babylon 5 cast with South Park character designs. It spawned several short films. In the 1999 short film "Frightspace", which is a spoof on Babylon 5 telefilm Thirdspace, some extra-dimensional gods invade the station lead by Egyptian pharaoh Nyarlathotep, or I-Hop as he likes to be called. The episode is notable for the voice talent of several original Babylon 5 actors. The character of Nyarlathotep is more or less based upon a figure from a 1920 short story by H.P. Lovecraft (see the 2001 short movie "Nyarlathotep" elsewhere on this list).
