Cleopatra is still a young teenager when attempts against her father's life are made. When he goes into hiding Cleopatra joins him, and together they sail for Rome. There she tries to persuade the Romans to help restore her father to the throne so she herself might become ruler of Egypt some day.

The story of Cleopatra turned upside down. One of a series of "Royal Diaries" family specials about heroic young women in history, based on the best selling novel by Kristiana Gregory.
