While exploring the ruins of Ancient Egypt, an old colleague of Dex mistakenly unlocks an ancient spell and transforms himself into a twisted supervillain (source: IMdb).
Episode 15 from the Australian children television series "Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist". It is about a young entomologist who investigates dangerous alien insects crawling through a rift in the galaxy, while at the same time a villain is genetically modifying the super bugs to destroy all worlds. The series ran for 26 episodes in 2008 and 2009.
