Before making a decision about selling all his family’s possessions in Egypt, Hasan Bishr receives a video message from his late father. It encoures him to review the history of his family and of Egypt by reading an ancient papyrus from the time of queen Hatshepsut, a manuscript from the time of the Ottoman Empire, and the personal stories of his father from the time of king Farouk. They all share a theme of corruption by high officials and religion clergy. But evil and greatness have always coexisted, and in the end Hasan will discover that Egypt is a treasure he should care about.
