The story of Cleopatra's death presented in a 30-minute episode from the American historical drama series "You Are There". This high profile series with reenactments of many key historical events was hosted by Walter Cronkite and ran for 90 episodes between 1953 and 1957. In some episodes, CBS News reporters in modern-day suits would report on the action and interview the protagonists on the spot. At the end of each program, Cronkite ended with the words "what sort of day was it? A day like all days, filled with those events that alter and illuminate our times... and you were there."
