Though all previous films more or less centered on an ancient Egyptian male mummy who is accidentally resurrected and who tries to resurrect the soul of his lost love in a modern day woman, this time Universal chose having a female play the mummy lead role. Also, abandoning the underlying original love story, this mummy is all about revenge, catastrophy and fenominal supernatural powers. The film thus tries to emulate the success of other modern day gods, monsters and superhero movies.

The Doctor warns this consent, if given, would have unknown but everlasting consequences. He discovers that the pending disaster may not be a military clash, but that the real danger to the world lies in a biological lab somewhere in Yorkshire.

Episode seven from the tenth series of the British science fiction television series "Doctor Who", following the adventures of a time-travelling humanoid alien known as the Doctor. Though the appearance of a Giza-style Egyptian pyramid at the beginning of the episode looks promising, it turns out to be an alien spaceship... no surprise there. There are no other Egyptian elements or references in this episode.
