TV-series Kraft Television Theatre

Lex Richards, Guy Spaull, Patricia Wheel

1950's live television version of the Agatha Christie novel 'Death on the Nile', made after the author's own stage adaptation from the early 1940's. The original title 'Death on the Nile' had been retained for the stage play when it opened at the Dundee Repertory Theatre in 1944, but was later changed to 'Murder on the Nile' for the West End and Broadway runs. This title was then also adapted for the 1950 Kraft Television Theatre version, an hour-long live NBC drama series which offered television plays with new stories and new characters each week. These also included adaptations of many classic theatre plays.
