Armando Novello, Dora Rogers

This short with Armando Novello, who plays Toto the Clown, is a parody on the romance between Marc Anthony and Cleopatra. Novello played Toto in a series of 18 shorts with Hal Roach Studios, until he suddenly quit in 1918 and was replaced by Stan Laurel who continued for another 5 productions. The comedy about Toto and Cleopatra was remade in Italy in 1963 as part of a new Toto series, this time with Neapolitan actor Antonio 'Totò' de Curtis.
