Teacup Travels
UK, 2015  TV

The British children’s TV series "Teacup Travels" aims to teach young children what life was like thousands of years ago. In this series, Great Aunt Lizzie uses souvenirs from her travels to entertain her young visitors Charlotte and Elliot. When either one arrives at her house she offers them tea in a special teacup. Each cup is unique and illustrated with one of the ancient artefacts from her travels, which she also keeps in a display case. As their Great Aunt begins to tell its story, the young guest begins to imagine being there as the tale unfolds. The series features six episodes where an ancient Egyptian object is a central part of the storyline: "The Adventure of the Ragged Sandals", "The Adventure of the Flying Scarab Necklace", "The Adventure of the Ancient Headrest", "The Adventure of the Wooden Mould", "The Adventure of the Wooden Horse" and "The Adventure of the Glassless Mirror".
