OSS 117: Le Caire, Nid d'Espions
France, 2006

Jean Dujardin, Bérénice Bejo, Aure Atika
Directed by Michel Hazanavicius

Secret agent of the Office of Strategic Services, Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath, who is also known by his code name OSS 117, is investigating the disappearance of an OSS agent and a Soviet cargo ship in Egypt. In doing so OSS 117 stumbles into a web of international intrigue that involves the French, the Soviets, the British, separate factions of Egyptians, a goofy Belgian spy and even a splinter group of the neo-nazis. The nazi's, it appears, have their secret headquarters in Giza in an ancient Egyptian tomb, something reminiscent of James Bond's "The Spy Who Loves Me" where the British secret service HQ is in a tomb as well, albeit on the Luxor West Bank.

Parody of the spy film genre and a continuation of the OSS 117 series of spy films from the 1950s and 1960s, which were in turn based on a series of novels by Jean Bruce, a prolific French popular writer.
